Message This is a quick one that can be moved to tech if deemed necessary. But I thought it was somewhat general as well.

Could you ohm test an injector with plenum still on?

I can visual 2 ways, and I am open to opinions/experiences.

1) Pop off the injector connector from the EFI harness, and attach a loose injector with the 2 wires striped back. Then you can pull the resistance off the wires. Like a "pigtail" set of new injector connectors could do the trick.

2) I know with phone line there is a small clip that has leads that slightly pierce the wire casing to check for dial tones and such. Could that same principal be applied to obtaining resistance without ever removing the EFI harness?

I have one concern and that is that the wire that you pull resistance from could also add to the resistance value to hurt its accuracy? Does anyone have an old injector laying around the could pull the resistance straight, and then with a connector attached?

Thanks. I hope I'm not missing some key concept...
